Spring!

Who else is ready for some spring stitching?
Most of our snow has melted, and I am itching to hang up my coat and hear the birds sing. Last night I kitted up an old Loose Feathers by Blackbird Designs (#13) called Spring Fling. I'm just missing my green threads, GAST Avocado and Dried Thyme, to get started. I also pulled out the fibers and fabric for "In the Garden with Jane Austen" by The Sampler Girl. I hope to have this one ready by May.

And, I put a few stitches into my choice of colors for Erica Michaels' "Random Thoughts of Spring." The fabric is Silkweaver Spring Garden, 28 ct. Opalescent Cashel and the thread is DMC 4045.

Here is my progress on the little man's Beatrix Potter Sampler (with a few stubborn wrinkles). Almost done! Speaking of the little man ... he is getting so big:
Until next time!

How on earth did your little boy get so BIG? (That is an utterly fabulous picture, by the way!!)

All your stitching is lovely, but I have to admit your Beatrix Potter sampler steals the show!

I really love the design you are going to stitch! It speaks to me as I love how the alphabet weaves around the florals.

So good to see you posting Rachel and also a picture of the little guy. Know you have been busy being a mom. It doesn't seem that long ago you were expecting him :). I have most all of the Loose Feathers but have only stitched about 2 so far - pitiful I know. Spring Fling is a favorite. I love all Beatrix Potter things - the sampler is wonderful!

Spring Fling is a great choice - the colors are beautiful. It's an inspiring piece - I have been looking for a copy myself. Do you know anyone who might or might you yourself be interested in selling the chart? I have had no success in my search.

Your little sweetheart looks like quite the little man! Thanks for sharing with all of us who read your blog.
