"Hope Perches"

Literary Littles #3 by
The Sampler Girl

28 ct. Tan Marble Jobelan
by Sassy's Fabrics

DMC 3842, DMC 435, and
CC Wavy Navy

I am so happy with the way this pillow turned out! I found the fabric - a perfect color match - at Wal-Mart, believe it or not. This is a birthday present for my literary kindred spirit friend, Mindy. Tomorrow we are driving to Ohio to visit them, and I have stayed up way past my bedtime finishing this present ~ time to retire.

I wanted to thank you all for the way you have warmly welcomed me back to blogging. Your sweet comments are a gift.

Rachel, this is absolutely beautiful!
I love designs from The Sampler Girl very much and so want to stitch them a lot, and this is one of them I want to stitch!!
If I stitched this, I would also finish like this way as pillow, it's so stunning! Mindy will treasure it, I admit!

This is a gorgeous gift Rachel, and you did a wonderful job of finishing and stitching. Your friend will be thrilled! I, too, have found some fabrics at Walmart!

Thanks for posting the new releases from LHN in your previous post. I hadn't seen them yet. I love ABC's!

Hi Rachel,
Thanks for stopping by my blog!! The finish is just great!!!!!
I read back through you past posts and really enjoyed them!!!!!
The Christmas pieces you finished are super and I REALLY liked the "fear not Rejoice" piece. From which JCS mag did that come from?

I'll be back.

You are all right, and I wish you could see this in person! It is truly gorgeous, in my favorite color, and incorporates lines from my favorite poet--but best of all is that it was made just for me by my dear, dear friend. Plus she hand-delivered to me, and as someone at our church remarked when I introduced Rachel to him, the PA turnpike it definitely a test of friendship! :o)

Thank you again, Rachel, for such a beautiful gift!

I was so happy to see more posts from you - you must keep them coming! Your Hope Perches looks lovely - what a beautiful finish. I completed mine too but am not sure what to do with it, since I am a finishing novice even more than a novice stitcher. Yours is so nice maybe I will push myself to do a pillow too. Please keep posting - I love your needlework.
