WiPBustin'
That's what I am focused on for the next several weeks -- getting all those pesky wips outta my hair. I am trying to deny myself new starts until all the in progress pieces are finished, which is good motivation to pull them out and work on them --even if they have gotten boring.
I am proud to announce the completion of my most long standing w.i.p., begun back in August 2006: Quaker Garden:
It really is a lovely piece and doesn't even have all that much stitching - I don't know why I got so bored with this one. But at last it is finished. We can't afford to frame it now, but I'd love to frame it in the future. I also have some small bits of another Blackbird Designs piece, Awake the Dawning Day, to finish in my wipbustin' spree, in addition to several more items. I think I only have the border eyelet stitches to go on that one. Hope to be back with more finishes soon... I have piles of stash that are calling my name!
Edgar: the "Feare Not" ornie is from the 2005 Just Cross Stitch Christmas magazine.
Thanks for stopping by and thank you for all your sweet comments.

Good for you to try and finish up pieces you've started. You'll feel even better when you start something new, knowing you've finished up some UFO's ;)
Your Quaker Garden is beautiful! I have this hanging in our dining room, and it's one of my favorite samplers.
I also get bored with projects sometimes, and I have no idea why. I guess it's just one of those personality traits we stitchers share!
I love this design and yours is lovely. Congrads on your finish :)

I also have this Quaker Garden as UFO's...
I don't know either why I was bored working on it, but I had been forgetting about this design until I saw your finished piece!!
I have to find it in the box, first!
Anyway, congratulations on your finish!!
It's absolutely beautiful!
Your QG is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!!!! So happy for you, the fabric is perfect. I have a question for you about QG, would you email me at sitich4life@verizon.net
Double congratulations for another job well done!!!
Hopefully I will get some of my older WIP's finished this year as well.....
Quaker Garden is, btw, gorgeous!
