Hello Stitching World ~ Long Time No See!

I've been quite the delinquent blogger of late. Last evening, I went out for a fun night of "Stitching at the Ford" sponsored by The Strawberry Sampler, and had fun meeting up with Anna VS and Dianne along with a bunch of other local stitchers. It inspired me to update my blog!
Dianne and I --we planned in advance to match our haircolor and fushia tops (not really)

Anna rocking the mystery shades whilst my left arm looks huge

Sadly, I don't have oodles to show you for the last couple of months. It has been a busy/strange/emotionally difficult summer; I experienced the deaths of three people I was close to, so have been doing a lot of grieving, but am also pregnant with my first, so of course have been joyful as well.

But how about some stitchery. I do have a couple of finishes and a work in progress:

WIP: Autumn Song by Blackbird Designs

Blackbird Designs Freebie -- for my grandmother, finished as a wall hanging

LHN Travelling Stitcher -- (stitching done, just need to attach these to the cute travel cases)

Until next time ... hopefully sooner than 2 months from now!

It's so good to see an update from you! I have been thinking of you, hoping that all is well. You look radiant! Beautiful pregnancy pic of you in your sidebar. :)

I can't tell you how jealous I am of all of you guys that got to go Stitchin' at the Ford. I am soooooo insanely jealous. Looks like you all had a fabulous time.

Beautiful stitching progress!

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your loved ones. My father passed away when I was pregnant with my first baby and it was a very bittersweet time. Hugs to you.

It's good to hear from you Rachel! I have been wondering how your pregnancy was going. You must be so excited! Your stitching is just beautiful. I'm sure your grandmother loves the piece you finished for her.

I'm so sorry you lost some people that you loved so much, but I hope the memories you have will make you smile eventually.

Take care of you and baby!

How nice to see a post from you. You have that pregnancy glow in your pictures. I'm sorry your happy time has been somewhat sobered by loss. Your stitching as always is beautiful - I always like what you choose to make. Thanks for your post on my blog - I actually first saw Home Sweet Home when you posted about it when it first came out. I'm setting it aside for now but will find the perfect floss eventually and go back to it. Hope you post again soon!

So good to have an update from you! I am sorry for your losses this summer. You look fantastic - pregnancy definitely agrees with you :-) Your stitching is beautiful. I wish I could have done the Stitching at the Ford - I live just a slight touch too far away though (about 2 hours). Glad all is well and looking forward to hearing more soon! Meredith
That is the first picture I've seen that really shows the color of the fabric for Mermaids Singing.

You've really done some beautiful stitching on your blog hiatus.

Of course, we all look lovely. (And it's usually me that's too close to the camera!) It was a lot of fun, and I look forward to seeing you next month!
