Winter Wind

Brrrr!!! This is the perfect time to be stitching on Prairie Schooler's Winter Wind. It is very cold outside here in the northeast-- about 20 degrees F. at present, I believe-- my husband says this is "Alaska weather."

I've made a couple of adjustments--I moved the verse up on the sampler and am going to stitch the four squares below it. I also wasn't crazy about the black and white header so I created my own with a different alphabet and some freestyle snowflakes. This is on the recommended 32 ct. Lambswool with DMC threads.

It is wonderful to see posts at your blog Rachel, I missed you. Winter Wind is looking wonderful. I'm stitching on that today and yours is very elegant while mine seems quite rustic, it is amazing the different look you can achieve with the same design. I love the quote from your new Brightneedle chart.

I enjoyed reading your weird post, bye for now Miss Congenial Dairy Pants.

You're back again! Welcome on the blogs world among us again. I missed you so much. I paid you a visit every now and then, and I'm glas to read you now. I only had 1 Prairie Schooler chart, and it was difficult to find them here in France. So this week I made a great step forward : I ordered 10 of them on the web. As you say they aren't cheap but I treated myself finding an excuse because the USD is very low for us at moment compared to our euro! UI know that I'll keep them for a very long time. I wish you a very good and blessed week end.

I just love what you did with WinterWinds. I am stitching it in the PS SAL. You can see mine on my blog. I wish I was daring like you to try something different with it. I am not crazy for the dark top either. I love your blog.
Hugs and happy Stitching,
Sharon
