Two LHN

Thank you for your warm comments on my last post! I'm wishing I were a better commenter on all of your lovely blogs. Hope to be catching up that enjoyable task in the next few days.

Here are two more finishes by Little House Needleworks from the tail end of 2008...

Pumpkins will be a pinkeep for my LHN Fruit Salad Pinkeep Basket. I changed a few colors in the Pumpkins thread pack and am happy with the result --one of the skeins of CC that came in the thread pack was too pale for my fabric. I like the look of two different oranges for the two pumpkins.

Holly & Berries is stitched on the recommended linen with DMC. I can't decide how to finish that one! Maybe a little pillow??

both are lovely finishes!!! I have both in my never ending stack of to do!!! I love the holly & berries. How about a flat fold? Or, it is the perfect size for an album cover. I like doing those!

Nice to see a post from you Rachel! I like your new finishes. I have a small pile here that I need to get to. I agree-try something new (if you haven't already) and make a flat fold perhaps? Made one for Groundhog's Day-it turned out cute.

Happy New Year Rachel! And what a fabulous start you've made. The two LHNs are beautiful and reminded me that I have quite a bit of free wall space in my kitchen. Maybe a fruit salad on my walls? Well, for now, I'm just going to enjoy looking at yours :o)

I love the finishes, Rachel - let me tell you that you inspired me to start the "fruit" series because I want to have a "salad" basket, too!

Those are some really nice LHN finishes. My mother just leaned over my shoulder long enough to say she wants to do the holly and berries and she hasn't touched cross stitching in over 20 years! Congrats, you've brought her back into the fold! LOL

They are both beautiful finishes. I really like Holly & Berries. It works nicely with the white against that color of fabric.
